Community Guidelines

Hahoowa is a marketplace and social platform that brings people together. To keep it safe and useful, we ask everyone to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban — and in serious cases, referral to law enforcement.
These guidelines complement our Terms of Service and apply to all content posted on Hahoowa: listings, photos, videos (including AI- generated reels), stories, comments, messages, live streams, and profiles.
✅ What's welcome
- Genuine listings for goods and services you actually own / offer
- Live streams to showcase products, host Q&A, or share expertise
- Conversations between buyers and sellers, conducted in good faith
- Constructive reviews and feedback
- AI reels that promote your own genuine listings
🚫 What's not allowed
Illegal goods & services
- Weapons: firearms, ammunition, knives intended as weapons, prohibited tools
- Drugs: any controlled substance, drug paraphernalia
- Stolen property: vehicles, electronics, ID documents
- Counterfeit goods: fake luxury items, pirated software, knock-offs
- Endangered species: live animals, ivory, exotic skins
- Human tissue / organs
- Hacked accounts of any service
Regulated categories requiring special handling
These need extra disclaimers and are restricted by region:
- Adult content — not allowed on Hahoowa, period
- Medical devices requiring prescription
- Alcohol & tobacco — adults-only category, regional restrictions
- Real estate — needs valid title or management mandate
- Vehicles — needs registration papers visible
Fraud & deception
- Phantom listings (no real product behind them)
- Bait-and-switch (advertised item differs from delivered)
- Advance-fee scams (asking for fees before service / job offer)
- Romance scams or "love trap" approaches in DMs
- Pyramid schemes, MLM recruiting
Harmful behavior
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, doxxing
- Hate speech targeting protected groups (race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, nationality)
- Sexual content or solicitation
- Content depicting violence, gore, or self-harm
- Impersonation of other people, brands, or Hahoowa staff
- Sharing private information of others without consent
Platform abuse
- Spam — duplicate listings, mass DMs, fake reviews
- Multiple accounts to evade bans or inflate metrics
- Manipulating engagement (fake likes, follows, viewer counts)
- Scraping data, automated posting, bot networks
- Reverse-engineering or attempting to disrupt the service
AI-generated content rules
When you use Hahoowa AI reels:
- ✅ You may generate content promoting your own genuine listings
- ✅ You may use Hahoowa's library of avatars (those creators consented)
- ❌ Do not generate content depicting real, identifiable people without their explicit written consent
- ❌ Do not generate content that infringes copyright (no using Disney characters, brand mascots, etc.)
- ❌ Do not generate deepfakes, misleading impersonations, or political disinformation
- ❌ Do not use AI-generated content to make false claims about yourself or your product
Reporting violations
If you see content that breaks these guidelines:
- Tap ⚠ Report on the content (listing, reel, message, comment)
- Choose the category that best matches the violation
- Add details if useful
We review reports within 7 business days for most cases (24h for urgent safety issues — threats, self-harm content, child safety).
You can also email legal@hahoowa.app directly for legal matters.
Decisions & appeals
When we take action against your content:
- We notify you in-app with a reason
- You can appeal via the same notification
- We respond to appeals within 7 business days
- Final decisions can be challenged via the dispute resolution path described in the Terms of Service
Repeat offenders
We track violation history. Penalties escalate:

| 2nd | 7-day suspension |
| 3rd | 30-day suspension |
| 4th | Permanent ban |
Severe single violations (child safety, fraud at scale, illegal weapons) can result in immediate permanent ban + referral to authorities.
Safety tips
We publish category-specific safety tips throughout the app. Read them before transacting. Hahoowa is not a party to the transaction and cannot recover lost money — your best protection is your own vigilance.
Key universal tips:
- 🏠 Real estate: always visit in person before paying anything
- 🚗 Vehicles: check papers and test-drive before paying
- 💼 Jobs: real employers never ask for fees up front
- 💸 Any deposit: never via Western Union, MoneyGram, or crypto
- 🧑 Meeting: prefer public locations for in-person handovers
Updates
Material updates are notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Hahoowa after the effective date means you agree to the updated guidelines.
